Tax resolution software · Manifesto
Tax resolution firms don’t have a knowledge problem. They have a consistency problem.
RESO exists to turn expertise into repeatable methodology.
The problem
Tax resolution is expert work — but most firms still run it as heroic individual effort. Strategy depends on who opened the file. Deliverables get rebuilt. Knowledge walks out the door when staff changes.

Founder
Founder & CEO · 15+ years in the tax industry · 15 years in big tech
Joseph has spent more than fifteen years in the tax industry and fifteen years in big tech — including Dell, Inc. — a career built on computer science, business systems, systems integration, and data science. He has watched the same case be worked brilliantly by one operator and carelessly by the next, inside the same firm, with the same information available to both.
He studied data science and startups at Stanford, and RESO is the outcome of his capstone project there: take the way the best resolution cases are actually worked — IRS evidence first, financial reality second, the client’s story layered on top — and build it into software an entire firm can run on, so the standard stops depending on who opens the file.
He builds solutions to real problems, not pure revenue plays. RESO is engineered accordingly — deterministic engines instead of AI theater, evidence instead of claims, and a case record the firm, not the vendor, owns — and it is pressure-tested by the practitioners it serves: attorneys, enrolled agents, CPAs, and tax preparers working live cases.
What we believe
RESO.tax helps tax resolution firms turn expertise into repeatable methodology, preserve it inside every case, and deliver the same high standard of work no matter who is handling the engagement.
Your firm remembers every case.
And every completed case makes your firm better.
Your firm should improve every time you finish a case, not start over every time you open one.
Why RESO exists
RESO.tax doesn’t help firms read transcripts. It helps firms build a repeatable, defensible tax resolution practice.
RESO.tax is the operating system that runs a tax resolution firm — from the first client conversation to the final defensible work product and retention record.
What RESO is not
Six months later
Your firm remembers every case. And every completed case makes your firm better. A more repeatable practice is a more profitable practice.
